World Off keeps ordinary playback and personal sound choices in your browser. Online AI mixing requires sending your prompt to outside services.
What stays on your device
Your mono preference, saved mixes, and the AI allowance shown by this browser are stored locally. Audio files may also be cached by your browser so available sounds can continue playing offline.
When you use the online AI mixer
Your written prompt is sent to World Off's Cloudflare Worker and then to Anthropic so a sound mix can be generated. World Off does not include your prompt text in aggregate event counts.
Rate limits and aggregate events
A short-lived pseudonymous rate-limit key may be stored to protect the AI service from misuse. World Off also counts anonymous events such as a first playback or generated mix. On playable search pages, the browser may classify whether the visit came from a search engine; only the event name is sent, not the referring URL, search words, page address, sound choice, or prompt text.
Plain version: listening and saved mixes are local. Using the online AI sends the words you type to Cloudflare and Anthropic.
